Getting to Gili Trawangan is easy by sea and air. Several speed boats run daily from Bali to Gili Trawangan, with the journey taking around 2 hours. Flights can be booked to Lombok from Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya and direct international flights from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

If you are coming by fast boat from Bali, there are many boats from Padangbai & most will provide transport from your hotel in Bali to the harbour in Padangbai. We are happy to assist you with your boat reservation or transfer from either Bali or Lombok airport. Contact us for more details.

If you are flying into Lombok, the most economical way to Gili Trawangan is to take a blue bird metered taxi from the airport to Bangsal harbor (approx 1.5 hours and  Rp 200,000). Once in Bangsal you can purchase a boat ticket (Rp 15,000 per person) to Gili Trawangan.  Boats leave frequently throughout the day, and the last boat is around 1630. Beware of touts who will tell you that you will have to wait hours for a public boat and will overcharge you for a speed boat. Always make sure you go to the main ticket office, which is right in from of the harbour.

If you arriving on a late flight, we can arrange a private car and boat transport at any hour. Please just contact us for details.

Once you are on the island, you will likely want to hire a horse cart or “cidomo”  to bring you to Lutwala Dive as there is no motorised transport on the island. Cidomos cost approx 70,000  – 100,000 IDR and are readily available at the harbor.

Sometimes our dive boats do double duty! Today Pegasus was a transport boat for an injured horse for the charity Horses of Gili!
